The young Indian star opener, Pratika Rawal had shared a video of herself lifting weights intensively, as she paves her path for her international comeback for India, following her maiden Test call-up in the national side.

Pratika had sustained serious knee and ankle injuries while fielding against Bangladesh in the 2026 Women’s ICC ODI World Cup, which made her miss the Semi-final against Australia and the final against South Africa.
Pratika Rawal has shown relentless commitment towards making her comeback in cricket with disciplined routines and weight-lifting. She is preparing herself ahead of the Test match against Australia in Perth, in which she is all set to mark a significant milestone in her career, earning a Test cap for India.
In her ODI career, she has scored 1,110 runs from 23 innings with an average of 50.45. She was the backbone of the Indian batting unit in the group stages of the 2026 Women’s ICC ODI World Cup. She scored 308 runs at an average above 50 and she also scored a century in the World Cup.
She was considered as one of India’s best finds that year with her consistent performances at the top for the side and her partnership with Smriti Mandhana was going along quite well. Despite being ruled out of the World Cup with serious injuries, Pratika seemed all set to not miss out on the celebrations during their historic World Cup triumph.
After the final match-winning catch by Harmanpreet Kaur in the final, the team started the celebrations with pure passion, and the team was joined by Pratika Rawal on a wheelchair draped in the Indian flag. Most recently, she was at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 10th to support her side, the UP Warriorz in their opening fixture against Gujarat Giants.
Pratika Rawal seems to be that kind of player that focuses on the interests of the team rather than individual performances, as she never misses an opportunity to cheer for her side even when she’s out of the game, which reflects her true passion for the game.
