All-rounder Esha Oza will lead the United Arab Emirates (UAE) women’s cricket team in the upcoming ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy 2025, set to be played in Thailand later this month.

The competition marks the first of its kind, bringing together eight emerging cricket nations in a round-robin format. Every team will face each other once, and the side finishing at the top of the table will lift the trophy. Matches will be held across two venues – the Terdthai Cricket Ground (TCG) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT Ground) in Bangkok.
Alongside hosts Thailand and UAE, the tournament will feature Namibia, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Scotland, Tanzania, and Uganda – all sides continuing to make steady progress in women’s cricket.
UAE will begin their campaign against Papua New Guinea on November 20 at the AIT Ground, followed by a clash with the Netherlands on November 21 at the same venue. The team will then face Scotland at the TCG on November 23 before returning to AIT for their game against Uganda on November 25.
The final stretch of the tournament will see UAE play Tanzania at TCG on November 26, Thailand on November 28 at the same venue, and wrap up their campaign against Namibia on November 30 at AIT Ground.
For UAE, this tournament presents a valuable opportunity to build on their recent performances and test themselves against evenly matched opposition. Under Esha Oza’s leadership, the side will look to maintain their fine balance of youth and experience while aiming for consistency throughout the league.
