This tour marks Nepal’s return to action after their successful five-match T20I series win against Malaysia, which they clinched 3-2. In the series, skipper Barma scored 117 runs from 5 innings, at an average of 58.50. Right-arm medium Kabita Kunwar picked up 9 wickets from 4 innings at an average of 4.88. Before that, Nepal competed in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier, where they finished second in the Super three stage with three wins in six matches.

During the tour, Nepal will face three different Indian domestic teams- Rajasthan, Bengal, and CAU (Cricket Association of Uttarakhand), each twice. The matches are spread across a week, giving the visiting side a balanced schedule to test their bench strength and gain experience in varied conditions.

The team will be led by Indu Barma, one of Nepal’s most experienced all-rounders. In her career so far, she has scored 1,041 runs from 41 innings and has also been effective with the ball, taking 40 wickets in 46 innings. Her best bowling figures stand at 3 for 5, with an impressive economy rate of 4.53 and a bowling average of 15.45. Barma’s all-round ability and leadership experience will be crucial for Nepal as they look to make a strong statement on Indian soil.
