Nishi’s domestic career began with promise as she debuted in the Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket League. On 30 March 2023, she represented Jamuna against Padma, marking her first-class debut. Nishi’s international pathway started in December 2022, when she was named a stand-by player for the Bangladesh Under-19 squad at the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Her big break came in October 2023, when she earned her maiden call-up to the Bangladesh women’s national cricket team for the home series against Pakistan. Just weeks later, on 7 November 2023, she made her One Day International (ODI) debut against Pakistan, a significant milestone in her career.
Since then, she has featured in two ODIs, where she picked up two wickets, showcasing glimpses of her wicket-taking ability on the big stage. In March 2024, she was once again trusted with a spot in the squad for the ODI series against Australia, and a month later, she was named a reserve player in Bangladesh’s T20I squad against India, a sign that selectors see her as part of the national team’s long-term plans.
