Players to watch out:

Maddy Darke

The 23-year-old keeper-batter has accumulated 116 runs, at an average of 29.00, from 4 WNCL outings this season in the first leg fixtures. Maddy had an outstanding WNCL season last year, with 458 runs from 12 outings, and while she didn’t accumulate many runs in a recent T20 campaign, she can be relied upon to rediscover her footing in the WNCL, leading the scoring.

Amy Edgar

The 27-year-old all-rounder in the WNCL last summer posted 227 runs from 8 innings, while also picking up 17 wickets from 12 outings, with respective bests of 51 and 4/38. This domestic season, Amy has picked up 8 wickets from 10 T20 outings, and in her only WNCL outing so far, scored 29 runs and took two wickets. The experienced campaigner can be counted on for the goods.

Elsa Hunter

The 19-year-old Malaysian top-order batter, from 41 T20I outings, has amassed 707 runs at an average of 22.09, and registered the highest score of 69*. Elsa has had a notable WNCL stint so far, adding 168 runs from 6 outings, including the highest score of 93 in her most recent outing. She is a highly promising batter and hopefully will capitalize on this momentum, scoring big runs for the side.

Lauren Cheatle

The 26-year-old left-arm pacer, at an average of 15.45 and an economy rate of 4.11, struck 11 wickets from 5 WNCL outings. Most recently, Lauren took 8 wickets from 10 T20s and should be backed to build on this form, adding to her tally of 4 wickets from 3 WNCL outings this summer. She is a seasoned pacer and can be trusted to produce breakthroughs.

Pitch:

The WACA Ground features a well-balanced center wicket that’s favorable for both batters and bowlers, particularly pacers, to make an impact on the game. The average score in the 220s indicates favorable conditions for scoring runs as well.

Weather:

The conditions in Perth are forecast to be bright and pleasant for cricket, with sunny skies overhead. The temperature is expected to hover around 26°C, with moderate winds and humidity at 55%.
