Richa didn’t find much success in her recent series but managed a notable score of 50. However, in this campaign, she has registered scores of 20 and 32. It is hoped she builds on this return to form, following up with another big score.
Sajeevan Sajana
The 29-year-old all-rounder, from 7 T20I innings, has accumulated 37 runs and remains wicketless after 5 bowling innings. Notably, Sajeevan managed 71 runs at a strike rate of 139.21 from 5 T20s in a recent competition this domestic season, while also taking 5 wickets. Though this success hasn’t translated to international cricket yet, she should be backed to find her footing.
Shemaine Campbelle
The 32-year-old keeper-batter has posted 1,353 runs from 110 T20I innings, with the highest score of 47, while also being successful with the ball. Shemaine didn’t find much success in her most recent T20I campaign but managed scores of 13 and 29* in her most recent T20I innings in this series. It is hoped that she capitalizes on this momentum, leading the scoring for the side in the must-win.
Chinelle Henry
The 29-year-old all-rounder has added 430 runs from 52 T20I outings and has taken 21 wickets from 43 innings, with bests of 34 and 3/26. Chinelle didn’t find much success at the T20 World Cup, and while she conceded 17 runs off her 2 overs in this series opener, she returned figures of 2/37 (4) in her most recent outing and can be relied upon for the goods, extracting assistance off the pitch.
Pitch:
The wicket at the DY Patil Sports Academy offers a relatively balanced playing field, as the conditions favor both batters and bowlers. The quicks, in particular, gain an advantage from the conditions, and a score in the 160s is considered to be a challenging one on this track.
Weather:
It will be a pleasant day to be at the DY Patil Stadium for cricket, with clear skies and a minimal chance of rain. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 24°C, with light winds and a humidity level of 43%.
