Ahead of the 2025 Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia, South Africa is stepping up their preparations with a triangular series against India A and India B in early December. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced their Under-19 squad for the preparatory series in Pune, featuring a few familiar names.
South Africa’s U19 team has been proactively preparing for the 2025 Women’s U19 T20 World Cup, with a series of camps and matches. Most recently, they whitewashed Ireland U19 in a 5-match T20 series. The same touring contingent that played in Ireland will now face India in a triangular series.
Kayla Reyneke and Karabo Meso played pivotal roles with the bat, while Seshni Naidu and Fay Cowling took key wickets during the Ireland series. Notably, both Seshni Naidu and Karabo Meso have already made their debuts for the senior national team, showcasing their rising talent.

The triangular series will follow a double round-robin format, with each team playing the others twice in the 6 league matches. The series will conclude with a final on December 12, 2024.

At the 2025 Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, South Africa is placed in Group C alongside New Zealand, Samoa, and Nigeria. South Africa exited the inaugural edition of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023 early, failing to advance past the Super Six, but will be hoping for a better performance in the upcoming edition, buoyed by their consistent selections and recent successes.
