Shantha Rangaswamy Gets Conflict Of Interest Notice; Resigns From CAC, ICA Directorship

Shantha Rangaswamy resigns from Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) and gives up her Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) directorship after being served a Conflict Of Interest notice from the BCCI.

The former India captain was named in the Cricket Advisory Committee last year, the body which had selected W V Raman as the Head Coach of the women’s team.

The committee had also re-appointed Ravi Shastri as the Head Coach of the men’s team.
The complaint was filed by Sanjiv Gupta who is a life member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA). As per the BCCI constitution, no individual can hold more than one post at the same time.
According to Sportstar, Rangaswamy mailed her resignation to the Committee of Administrators (CoA) CEO Rahul Johri. She also emailed the interim chairman of ICA G K Pillai, stating that she no longer wishes to remain the director of the association.
Although she has given up her directorship, Rangaswamy has applied for the general membership in the association.
