Bangladesh A Women’s squad announced for white-ball tour to Sri Lanka, starts 8th September

The Bangladesh A women’s team led by skipper Rabeya Khan will tour Sri Lanka for a white-ball series against Sri Lanka A in September 2024. It includes a two-match One Day series followed by a five-match T20 series.

The series will get underway on 8th September 2024 and conclude on 19th September 2024. The Bangladesh A side will arrive in Sri Lanka on 5th September 2024. The visitors have announced their squad for the upcoming white-ball series. The 19-year-old young leg-spinner Rabeya Khan will be leading the side against Sri Lanka A.

The series could prove to be a solid dress rehearsal for Bangladesh, an opportunity for them to finalise their best playing combination ahead of the upcoming 9th edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is now shifted to the United Arab Emirates. The tournament will commence on 3rd October 2024 and conclude on 20th October 2024. The Nigar Sultana Joty-led side will be up against Scotland led by skipper Kathryn Bryce in the tournament opener at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 3rd October 2024, from 3:30 PM IST.
