The Irish side elected to bat first and posted a total of 173, courtesy of Gaby Lewis’ century, to secure a 7-run victory over the Islanders. This win also ended Sri Lanka’s six-match winning streak.

1) Gaby Lewis – 119 (Ireland):
Gaby Lewis, the Irish opener, scored her second century in the T20I format. The right-handed batter was involved in a 119-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Orla Prendergast, with Lewis taking charge throughout the partnership. In the ninth over, she reached her century off 68 balls with a stylish six. Her 119-run innings helped her side put up a formidable total of 173. She struck 17 fours and two sixes in her knock and was awarded the Player of the Match.

2) Harshita Samarawickrama – 65 (Sri Lanka):
Despite being on the losing side, Samarawickrama’s knock kept the visitors in contention as they chased a target of 174. The left-handed batter smashed 65 off 44 balls, marking her third consecutive fifty in the T20I format. At one point, Sri Lanka was struggling at 29-2 before Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari built a 72-run stand for the third wicket. Harshita Samarawickrama hit nine boundaries and three sixes in her innings, striking at 147.72.

3) Orla Prendergast – 38 & 2/28 (Ireland):
Orla Prendergast delivered an all-round performance, playing a crucial role in Ireland’s 7-run victory over the visitors. Batting at number three, she scored 38 off 31 balls, including four boundaries. With the ball, she provided Ireland an early breakthrough by dismissing Vishmi Gunaratne for 1 and later dismissed Ama Kanchana, finishing with figures of 2 for 28 in four overs.
