Chamari Athapaththu

The 32-year-old all-rounder in T20Is has amassed 3,034 runs from 133 outings and also taken 54 wickets from 78 innings, with bests being 113 and 4/29. In her previous 4 outings, all T20Is, Chamari has registered scores of 1, 26, 38, and 12, while returning figures of 4/29, 1/18, 0/23, and 1/16. She can be counted on for an all-round effort, converting her starts into substantial scores.

Inoshi Priyadarshani

The 37-year-old off-spinner, from 26 T20I outings, has picked up 32 wickets, including a best of 4/10, at an average of 14.43 and an economy rate of 5.61. Inoshi has been in excellent form of late, and building on her recent figures of 1/13, 3/28, and 0/17, she produced figures of 2/17 in the Asia Cup opener. It is hoped she carries this form into the business end, leading the tally.

Elsa Hunter

The 19-year-old top-order batter, from 39 T20I innings at an average of 22.56, has accumulated 677 runs and registered the highest score of 69*. Elsa’s most recent campaign ahead of this Asia Cup dates to earlier this year, which she finished on a high with scores of 68, 20, 69*, and 15. Though in the Asia Cup opener she departed for 9, she can be banked upon to follow up with a big score.

Winifred Duraisingam

The 31-year-old all-rounder in T20Is has posted 1,057 runs on the board from 66 outings, while with the ball, from 60 innings, she has secured 48 wickets, registering bests of 73 and 3/9. Winifred managed a string of starts while also being among the wickets in her most recent campaign in February. She has had a similar start to this Asia Cup campaign and will be backed to step up her efforts.

Pitch:

The Dambulla wicket provides ample support for batters, making it a favorable surface with an average score in the 140s. However, bowlers, both spinners and pacers, also have opportunities to make an impact, exploiting the conditions to their advantage.
