Following Asha Sobhana’s India debut in the 1st One-Day International (ODI) on June 16, 2024, against South Africa during the multi-format home series, 33-year-old Sobhana produced her best bowling figures on debut in ODI.

The series, which runs from June 16 to July 9, includes three ODIs at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Following the ODI series, the teams will compete in a one-off, four-day red-ball Test match and three Twenty20 Internationals, all in Chennai. In her debut ODI match, Asha Sobhana registered impressive figures of 4/21, helping India secure a victory by 143 runs. With this performance, India leads the 3-match ODI series against South Africa 1-0.

Additionally, Asha Sobhana made her debut for India at the age of 33 years and 92 days, becoming India’s oldest ODI debutant in Women’s Cricket.

Amanjot Kaur – 4/31

Amanjot Kaur, achieved the figures of 4 wickets against 31 runs, against Bangladesh on July 16, 2023, during the India tour of Bangladesh at Mirpur.

Devisha Palshikar made her ODI debut in Karachi against Pakistan in 2006. The medium pacer from Maharashtra had a dream debut, picking up three wickets while conceding only 12 runs in her 10 overs. She bowled four maidens in that spell. For her outstanding debut, Devisha received the Player of the Match award in her first appearance.
