England players were rewarded with a rise in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Rankings, following a clinical series sweep against Pakistan.
The England women’s team led by skipper Heather Knight is hosting Pakistan for a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series. The home side completed a thrashing whitewash (3-0) on Pakistan in the T20I series. The three-match ODI series will commence on 23rd May 2024 and will conclude on 29th May 2024.
ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings:
The 33-year-old veteran top-order batter from England, Danielle Wyatt played a match-winning knock (87 off 48 balls), reminding the world of her T20I prowess in the 3rd and final T20I of the three-match T20I series against Pakistan. She was also awarded the Player of the Match for her sensational performance with the bat. She ended the series as the leading run scorer with 94 runs at an average of 31.33 in three innings. As a result of her brilliant performance, she has earned a significant rise, as she climbed up six spots to 16th position with 600 points to her name.
The 25-year-old England batter Maia Bouchier has been promoted to open the batting for her side in the T20I format in recent times. She also had a decent outing with the bat (30 off 26 balls) in the 2nd T20I. She accumulated 42 runs at a strike rate of 95.45 in three innings in the series. She has also earned a significant rise as she climbed up seven spots to equal the 23rd position alongside the Indian wicket-keeper batter Richa Ghosh (560 points).
The 31-year-old all-rounder from Pakistan, Aliya Riaz gradually went on to improve her performances with the bat in the T20I series. She was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in the T20I series scoring 54 runs at a strike rate of 122.72 in a couple of innings in the series. She has also climbed up three spots to the 53rd position (432 points). The 32-year-old opening batter from Pakistan, Sidra Amin took her time to get into the groove in the series. She scored 46 runs at a strike rate of 88.46 in three innings. She has also managed to climb up three spots to the 62nd position (390 points) in the latest rankings.
Chedean Nation from the West Indies and Sibona Jimmy from Papua New Guinea have climbed up one spot to equal 79th position (322 points). Ailsa Lister from Scotland has climbed up one spot to 81st position (321 points), Kaia Arua from Papua New Guinea and Ni Luh Dewi from Indonesia has equaled 82nd position (320 points).
Rebecca Stokell from Ireland, Pauke Siaka from Papua New Guinea, Mariko Hill from Hong Kong, and Lucy Barnett from Isle of Man Women have climbed up one spot to equal 90th position (297 points). Eimear Richardson from Ireland has climbed up one spot to the 94th position (296 points). Hasini Perera from Sri Lanka has climbed up a couple of spots and Sophie Ecclestone from England have climbed up three spots to equal the 95th position (292 points).
The newly appointed Hong Kong skipper Natasha Miles has climbed up one spot to equal the 98th position alongside Tammy Beaumont from England (288 points).

The 24-year-old leg-spinner from England, Sarah Glenn had an impressive series with the ball against Pakistan. She was the leading wicket-taker of the T20I series with six wickets to her name at an 7.16 and an exceptional economy of 3.90 in three innings. As a result of her impressive performances, she has climbed up one spot to the 3rd position with 732 points to her name. Hayley Matthews from the West Indies has climbed up one spot to the 5th position (710 points). Rabeya Khan from Bangladesh has climbed up a couple of spots to the 6th position (700 points).
