India and England players make a big rise in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Rankings. The England women’s team led by skipper Heather Knight is hosting Pakistan led by skipper Nida Dar for a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series. England clinched the 1st T20I by 53 runs.
The Indian Women’s team led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur recently completed a dominating whitewash in a five-match T20I series in Bangladesh.
ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings:
The Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu climbed up two spots to equal 7th position with 676 points alongside Suzie Bates from New Zealand. Ashleigh Gardner from Australia has climbed up one place to the 12th position with 616 points. The Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was the third-highest run-scorer of the recently concluded T20I series against Bangladesh. She scored 105 runs at a strike rate of 128.04 and an average of 35 in four innings. As a result of her performance, she has climbed up three spots to the 13th position with 612 points In ICC T20I batting Rankings.
Anneke Bosch from South Africa climbed up one spot to 16th position with 598 points. England skipper Heather Knight scored 49 runs in the 1st T20I against Pakistan. She also climbed up four spots to the 18th position with 588 points to her name. The 20-year-old Indian wicket-keeper batter Richa Ghosh, scored 83 runs at an impressive strike rate of 140.67 and an average of 41.50 in four innings in the recently concluded series against Bangladesh. She has climbed up a couple of spots to the 23rd position with 560 points in the latest rankings.
England’s wicket-keeper batter Amy Jones scored 37 runs at a strike rate of 137.03 in the 1st T20I against Pakistan which also turned out to be her 100th T20I game for England. She climbed up three spots to 26th position with 551 points. Papua New Guinea’s Tanya Ruma climbed up three spots to equal 27th position alongside Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce with 540 points.
