Team Green and Team Gold to play a three-day red-ball game at the Karen Rolton Oval from from 5th March as a part of the Australia A development program.

The senior Australian women’s team led by skipper Alyssa Healy are involved in an all-format series at home against the touring South African side led by skipper Laura Wolvaardt. The home side eventually went on to clinch both the white-ball series by a 2-1 margin.

The caravan will now move onto the historic one-off red-ball Test match that will get underway on 15th February 2024 at the W.A.C.A. Ground in Perth. Both sides have announced their squads for their maiden face-off in the red-ball format. The Australian selectors have also named an extended squad for the three-day red-ball game at the Karen Rolton Oval that will get underway from 5th March next month.

Team Green will come up against Team Gold in a three-day red-ball game as a part of the Australia A program with an aim to help the domestic players prepare for all the formats of International cricket.

Team Green Squad:

Heather Graham, Maitlan Brown, Maddy Darke, Amy Edgar, Alana King, Chloe Piparo, Lilly Mills, Kate Peterson, Sophie Reid, Hayley Silver-Holmes, Courtney Sippel, Tayla Vlaeminck, and Georgia Voll.

Team Gold Squad:

Charli Knott, Emma de Broughe, Darcie Brown, Sophie Day, Nicole Faltum, Tess Flintoff, Kim Garth, Sianna Ginger, Milly Illingworth, Katie Mack, Grace Parsons, Courtney Webb, and Amanda-Jade Wellington.

Team Green:

Courtney Grace Sippel

The 22-year-old Australian pacer had an impressive outing with the ball representing the Brisbane Heat in the 9th edition of the Women’s Big Bash League. She was the 3rd highest wicket-taker for Brisbane Heat with 16 wickets to her name at a strike rate of 22.87 and an average of 28.31 in 17 innings. She recently represented the Queensland Women in the WNCL. She recently represented the Governor-General XI led by skipper Sophie Molineux against South Africa in a T20 match where she returned with match figures (2/20) in her spell.

Tayla Vlaeminck

She is known for her ability to generate fierce pace and is regarded as one of the quickest bowlers in Australia. However, she has been in and out of action in recent times courtesy of her injury struggles. However, she is finally back in action representing Victoria in the ongoing edition of the WNCL. She has picked up two wickets in three games so far.

Georgia Voll

The spin-bowling all-rounder represented Brisbane Heat in the 9th edition of the WBBL and scored 206 runs at a strike rate of 112.56 in 15 innings. She is representing Queensland in the ongoing edition of the WNCL. She scored 295 runs at a strike rate of 70.91 and an average of 36.87 in 9 innings so far. She is the 2nd highest run-scorer for Queensland.

Team Gold:

Katie Mack

She represented the Adelaide Strikers in the 9th edition of the WBBL. She is currently representing the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) in the ongoing edition of the WNCL. She is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 471 runs to her name at an impressive average of 47.10 in 12 innings so far. Her tally of runs includes three half-centuries and a century to date.

Courtney Webb

She is representing South Australia in the ongoing edition of the WNCL. She is currently the leading run-scorer for her side with 364 runs to her name at a strike rate of 85.64 and an impressive average of 45.50 in 10 innings so far.

Amanda-Jade Wellington

The leg-spinner played a pivotal role with the ball for the Adelaide Strikers with 23 wickets to her name in 15 innings at an average of 11.65 in their title-winning campaign in the 9th edition of the WBBL. She was the 3rd highest wicket-taker of the tournament. She is currently representing South Australia in the ongoing edition of the WNCL. She has picked 15 wickets in 10 innings so far for her side.
