Players to watch out:
Lauren Winfield-Hill
The 32-year-old keeper-batter for England in 35 Twenty20 International (T20I) innings has scored 596 runs at a strike rate of 107.97. Lauren built on her knocks from previous games (22 against Spirit and 54 against Falcons) and brought up the editions 1st century (120*) against Tornadoes.
Fatima Sana
The 21-year-old all-rounder from Pakistan in national colours has struck 17 scalps and scored 123 runs in 24 outings. Sana with figures of 1/28 against Spirit got her campaign underway and has followed it up with figures of 0/29 and 1/24 against Falcons and Tornadoes respectively.
Kathryn Bryce
The 25-year-old Scottish all-rounder for her national side in 31 games has scored 800 runs and bagged 26 wickets. In the competition, thus far while she hasn’t had an outing with the bat, her bowling figures (3/25 against Sapphires and 2/21 against Falcons) have done all the talking.
Amanda-Jade Wellington
The 25-year-old Australian spinner in 8 T20I innings has bagged 10 wickets with the best figures of 4/16. While Amanda started well in the competition against Sapphires with figures of 2/15, against the Falcons she finished wicketless and conceded 30 runs.
Pitch:
The 22-yards at the Kowloon Cricket Club have got runs in them this summer and it isn’t the traditional bowlers’ paradise that we are used to seeing. The evenly balanced track is a highlight as there are rewards for shots and bowlers too get a good bounce and spin off the surface.
Weather:
With the temperature forecasted at around 21°C and no chances of rain, it’ll be a pleasant day to be at the cricket. However, the humidity is expected to be around 62% and that should aid bowlers, both spinners and pacers.
Fantasy playing XI:
Lauren Winfield-Hill, Shemaine Campbelle, Laura Wolvaardt, Phoebe Litchfield, Kavisha Egodage, Yasmeen Khan, Nigar Sultana, Kathryn Bryce, Tara Norris, Rumana Ahmed, Jess Kerr
