18-year-old, Ryana MacDonald-Gay recently featured in England women’s development squad against India in a warmup game and made heads turns with her stunningly good spell of 3.5-1-18-6. Below we bring to you the career Ryana MacDonald-Gay has had so far.

Born on 12 February 2004 in Kent, Ryana made her county debut in 2019, for Kent against Sussex, taking 1/22 from her 3 overs. In 2021, she appeared in six matches and Kent eventually went on to win the South East Group of the Twenty20 Cup.

Ryana was named in the South East Stars academy squad for the 2021 season and early in August, she’d scored 65 runs in a 70-run win for the academy over Western Storm Academy. Late in the same month (August), it was announced that Ryana MacDonald-Gay had signed a senior contract with South East Stars, and she made her debut for the team later that day in a Charlotte Edwards Cup match against Central Sparks. She also featured in a couple of matches for the side in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy where she got two wickets to her name.

Playing in The Hundred for Oval Invincibles this summer, Ryana registered figures of 2/25 in the season opener against Northern Supercharges, then against Trent Rockets and Birmingham Phoenix registered figures of 1/10, 1/16 and against Southern Brave contributed with an unbeaten knock of 19 and registered figures of 1/20.
