New Zealand was fighting their way back to the match after losing their top players. Maddy Green was standing in one end and was trying her best to take New Zealand past 200. Wickets were falling in the other end and Sophie Devine was retired hurt earlier in the innings. England was top of the game when Lea Tahuhu joined Maddy Green in 38th over. The very next over, Sophie Ecclestone who’s been having an excellent world cup so far came to bowl and Lea Tahuhu tried to hit a boundary over covers. Heather Knight, the England captain who was standing short cover jumped high to her right and caught a screamer dismissing Tahuhu for a duck reducing New Zealand to 155 for 6.

This amazing one-hand catch now joins the list of other superb hand catches of Deandra Dottin, Shabnim Ismail’s caught and bowl in the final over against Pakistan, and some other magnificent catches.

Heather Knight, the England captain had a horrible start to the world cup as she struggled to score runs and take wickets in the first 3 matches. When the situation became a must-win for England, Heather Knight was back as she scored an important 50 against team India and a 42 against New Zealand in 2 crucial games. She stitched in 2 great partnerships with Nat Sciver for the 3rd wicket and led the side to victory against India and New Zealand.

Let us see how the business end of the world cup goes and who’ll be joining Australia in the Semi-Finals.
