Fargana Hoque:
This right-handed batter of Bangladesh opened the batting in her last game against New Zealand and top-scored with 52 runs off 63 balls. She stitched a 59-run partnership with Shamima Sultana to give a steady start to their team.
Salma Khatun:
This veteran right arm-off spinner was the lone wicket-taker for Bangladesh in their last match against New Zealand. She is the most experienced bowler in the side and will be required to shoulder the bowling responsibility of the team.
Fatima Sana:
This right arm medium pace bowler of Pakistan had a great outing against South Africa as she picked up 3-43 in her 10 overs, including one maiden. She bowled well with the new ball and made good use of the conditions.
Omaima Sohail:
This Pakistani all-rounder was the top scorer against South Africa as she mustered 65 runs off 104 balls to lead the run chase from the front. Apart from her batting, she offers a bowling option as she can roll her arm over to bowl right arm off-spin.
Pitch
This will be the fourth match of the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup that will be played here. Teams batting first have won all the three matches previously played at this venue. It is a good batting wicket and a lot of runs are expected. There is some assistance for the bowlers if they maintain consistency with their lines and lengths.
