Alyssa Healy completes 200 International Matches, becomes 3rd Australian Female Player to do so

Opener Alyssa Healy on Wednesday became the third Australian to have played 200 career international games, across all formats. She played her 200th game against New Zealand in form of the second ODI in the ongoing Rose Bowl series and added 44 runs to the scoreboard.

The Australian wicket-keeper, who made her debut in the year 2010, has now played 78 ODIs, 118 T20Is, and 4 Test matches in her career and has scored 4203 runs across these three formats and had 76 stumpings to her name. Before Healy, only Alex Blackwell and Ellyse Perry had achieved this feat.

Australia not just defeated New Zealand in the 2nd ODI, but also stretched their winning streak. They now hold the record of winning 23 straight ODI matches and all this has happened within 3 years of time.

Healy, the 31-year-old star performer, apart from 200 career games has the following records in her bag-

  1. Most catches in a Women’s ODI series- 17
  2. Most runs in a series by a wicketkeeper in WODI- 1000
  3. Most dismissals in WT20I career- 95
  4. Most consecutive matches for a team in WT20I- 89*
  5. Most catches in WT20I career- 44
  6. Most stumpings in WT20I career- 51
  7. Most runs in a WT20I innings by a wicketkeeper- 148*
  8. Second most hundreds in a WODI series- 3
  9. Third most fifties in consecutive innings in WT20I career- 3
  10. Third most dismissals in a WODI series- 20

Healy is currently ranked third in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings and fifth in the T20I Batting Rankings.

She will be playing her 201st game on 10th April, against New Zealand in the third and final ODI of the series. Australia is already leading by 2-0 and looking forward to white-wash the Rose Bowl series.
