Match 11 – Thailand Women vs Hong Kong Women – Naruemol Chaiwai’s half-century helps Thailand beat Hong Kong by 82 runs

THAILAND TOPS THE POINTS TABLE AFTER BEATING HONG KONG

Thailand won the toss and decided to let Hong Kong bowl first. Thailand openers laid a strong foundation with Naruemol Chaiwai becoming the first player to score a half-century in the tournament. She was playing on 57 runs in 58 balls when she suffered a run out on the hands of Mariko Hill. Thailand set a target of 106 runs. While chasing, Nepal women survived on the crease for 17 overs but could only manage to get a total of 23 runs. This is the lowest total by any team in the tournament so far. Thailand won by 82 runs and jumped to the first position in the points table by bettering their run rate than UAE after a huge win. Hong Kong Women have not won a match so far in the tournament. Naruemol Chaiwai was declared the Player of the Match for her half-century.
