Excerpts from the interview:

How are you keeping up with the sport after the shoulder injury?

I’m keeping up quite good I’ve been working very hard on my injury in order to come back.

How are you training yourself to resume bowling post the shoulder injury?

Well, I’ve been doing a lot of post-rehab and in the gym strengthening it.

Recently you played a bilateral away series against England. How was the whole experience?

It was very exciting and relieving returning to competitive cricket after the COVID-19 break because I used that break to focus and work on my fitness and skills.

Which bowler do you enjoy facing the most?

Katherine Brunt. Reason because of her passion for the cricket and when she gets hit for boundaries it gets under her skin which is kinda funny loll)

How did you feel when you were selected to play in the Women’s T20 Challenge in UAE?

I felt awesome that I was selected cause I’ve always wanted to participate in the Women’s T20 Challenge.

I do a lot of boundary hitting and I also use heavyweights in the gym and practice the shots.

According to you, what is the secret to success as a batter as well as a bowler in T20 cricket?

There’s no secret it’s all there in sight, put in the necessary hard work and sacrifice and you will succeed.

Smriti Mandhana’s 90 is by far the highest individual score in the Women’s T20 Challenge. How eager are you to break that record?

I’m very eager to break it but also I won’t force it but my goal is to become the first woman to score a century in the Women’s T20 Challenge.
