Kashvee Gautam becomes the first Indian bowler to take all 10 wickets in a one-day match

When the Women in Blue are making the country proud by their wonderful cricketing display in the ICC Women’s World T20 held at Australia, the domestic cricket was not left too far behind, thanks to Chandigarh’s Kashvee Gautam who made the headlines by picking up all 10 wickets in a limited-overs match, thus becoming the first Indian to do so.

On Tuesday, when Chandigarh locked horns against Arunachal Pradesh in the U-19 one-day tournament at KSRM College Ground, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, 16-year old medium pacer created history as she bagged all the 10 wickets of the opposition. She also had a hat-trick to her name in the process. Defending a humble target of 186, Chandigarh dwindled down Arunachal Pradesh out for a paltry 25 runs to clinch a massive 161-run win.

Gautam seems to be on a roll in this U-19 tourney as she scalped a seven-wicket haul in her previous game against Jammu Kashmir. There is no doubt that the teenager is enjoying her purple patch which is evident from the fact that she has had a successful season so far. Kashvee has pocketed 63 wickets so far this season which includes 31 dismissals in nine U-23 one-day matches, 14 scalps in seven U-23 T20 matches and 18 wickets in three U-19 one-day games. Kashvee was the leading wicket-taker in the Women’s U-23 One-day tournament.
