It is the penultimate practice match before the ICC Women’s World T20 kick starts on February 21. At Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide, New Zealand will take on the debutants Thailand on February 19 in a practice game. While it is New Zealand’s second game, Thailand has not yet played a practice match since its first encounter against Bangladesh was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The White Ferns will look for a fightback having lost to England by six wickets a couple of days back, while Thailand would like to grab every opportunity that comes their way with both hands. New Zealand will not be an easy opponent to beat but at the same time Sophie Devine and co. cannot take the Thai Women lightly, considering there is always a fifty-fifty chance of an upset. It will be an interesting contest for sure and let’s see who has the last laugh.
