The tournament was held from 5 May to 16 May 2010, all the group matches were played at the Warner Park Sporting Complex on Saint Kitts. The tournament format was the same as in 2009 that is the Group stage and knockout. There were a total of 8 participants and a total of 15 matches were played. It was Australia who defeated New Zealand in the final at Bridgetown.

Nicola Browne the exceptional bowler from New Zealand was named as the player of the series for her wonderful bowling spell where she took 9 wickets.

The 8 teams were distributed in two groups:

Group A England, Australia, West Indies, South Africa

Group B– New Zealand, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan

The host team started with a great win, and continued their wonderful form but ended up losing to New Zealand in semis. Australia was a team to look up to from the beginning as they maintained a 100% winning rate in this tournament, they topped their group and won against every opponent.

Many questions were raised on them after their poor campaign in 2009, as they have been the favorites every year. But the Australian side proved themselves again in the next year and took the trophy home.
