Nat Sciver continues her good form against Australia as she scores her 2nd Century in the 2022 World Cup. She scored both of her hundreds in this world cup against Australia. First, in the league stage. Now, in the Final. Sciver scored an unbeaten 148 and tried her best to take England close to the target.
Earlier in the match, the English bowlers were smashed by the Australian batting unit. Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes put up 160 run opening partnership. Haynes scored a nice 68 of 93 balls. Beth Mooney who came at No.3 scored a magnificent 62 and gave huge support to Alyssa Healy. Alyssa Healy looked unstoppable throughout the match as she scored the highest individual score by a player men or women in World Cup final history. She scored 170 of 138 balls with 26 boundaries playing a huge role in Australia setting up a target of 357 for England.

The England batting unit lost early wickets as the openers Danny white and Tammy Beaumont got out for low scores. Heather Knight and Nat Sciver tried to bring back England into the game. Sciver looked untouchable with the bat as she scored quick runs. England kept losing wickets as Heather Knight, Amy Jones, and Sophia Dunkley of them got out for the 20s. Sciver on the other hand stood like a lone warrior and tried to score as many runs as possible taking England close to the target. Alana King and Jess Jonassen were lethal with the ball and was not allowing the English battles to settle down. They took wickets at regular intervals and resulted in England collapsing. King and Jonassen took 3 wickets each, and Megan Schutt also provided some support by taking 2 wickets. Sciver scored her 2nd century of the 2022 Women’s World Cup. Both the centuries in this World Cup for Sciver were against Australia. She ultimately ended up unbeaten at 148 as England was bowled out for 285. Australia won the match by 71 runs and won their 7th World Cup championship.

Nat Sciver finished her World Cup campaign scoring 436 runs in 9 matches with 2 centuries and one fifty. She along with Sophie Ecclestone were the stars of the tournament for England in this World Cup.
