All Out on 6? Here’s list of Top 5 Lowest Team Totals in Women’s T20Is

The Final in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup saw Sri Lanka batting first against India crumble down to 25/7 inside 9 overs, but thankfully had late resistance which got their score to a respectful 65 and managed to play out the whole innings of 20 overs.

Sri Lanka were lucky with the late resistance, but that isn’t the case always and below we’ve prepared a report on the top 5 lowest totals in WT20Is.

Bangladesh – 255/2 (20.0)
Maldives – 6/10 (12.1)

In the 2019 South Asian Games, Bangladesh batting first lost openers Shamima Sultana and Sanjida Islam on scores of 5(4) and 7(5) respectively. Nigar Sultana and Fargana Hoque went on to get individual centuries and finished on respective scores of 113(65) and 110(53) which got the team’s score to 255/2. Maldives in reply had tailender, Shamma Ali, score the highest 2(16) and Kinaanath Ismail and Sajaa Fathimath with a run to their name as the rest departed for a duck which saw the team bowled out for 6 runs.

Result: Bangladesh won by 249 runs

Mali – 6/10 (9.0)
Rwanda – 8/0 (0.4)

In the 2019 Kwibuka Women’s Twenty20 tournament, Mali batting first had opener Mariam Samake top score with 1(6) and as the rest in the batting line departed for a duck, the team were bowled out for 6 runs. Rwanda in reply, in only 4 balls got to the required and won the game with all 10 wickets in hand.

Result: Rwanda won by 10 wickets

Maldives – 8/10 (11.3)
Nepal – 9/0 (1.1)

In the 3rd place play-off game at the South Asain Games, 2019, Maldives batting first had opener Aima Aishath with a 1(12) against her name, top-scored for the side as the rest departed for ducks which saw the team bowled out for 8 and Anjali Chand for Nepal registered stunning figures of 4-3-1-4. Nepal in reply had their openers seal the game in 7 balls to bag a 10-wicket win.

Result : Nepal won by 10 wickets

Uganda – 314/2 (20.0)
Bali – 10/10 (11.1)

In the 2019 Kwibuka Women’s Twenty20 tournament, Uganda batting first had opener Prosscovia Alako and skipper Rita Musamali with respective scores of 116(71) and 103(61) powered their team to finish on the score of 314/2 that Mali in reply fell way short of. Middle-order batter, Tenin Konate’s 4(14) was the highest individual score for the side and next on were Sirantou Kagnassy, Mariam Samake and Mala Djiguiba who’d got singles to their names. As the rest in Mali XI departed for ducks, the team was bowled out for 10 runs.

Result : Uganda won by 304 runs

Tanzania – 14/0 (0.4)

In the 2019 Kwibuka Women’s Twenty20 tournament, Mali batting first scored 11 runs and had Oumou Sow at no.3 with the highest score of 3(18), while Mariam Samake, Aicha Kone and Aissata Sangare had a run each to their name. Tanzania in reply, had openers seal the win in only 4 balls to register a 10-wicket win.

Result : Tanzania won by 10 wickets
