Meg Lanning uses stranger’s swimming pool to ease her back condition

Australia today played India in the tri-series where they lost and their skipper was out due to precautionary measures. Lanning, however, has been the leading run machine for the side in both ODI’s and T20’s. She averages 52.75 in ODI cricket while she averages 36.35 in the shortest format.

To fight her back issue, she has been using the swimming pool to relax her muscles. This helps her to deflate the problem quickly. She takes care of the issue extraordinarily and tries to avoid this hindrance in her game moving further. Recently after the game against England on 1st Feb, there wasn’t a pool and it was pretty late in the evening, to her luck she found a hotel staff who offered to help her. The staff member’s parent’s house was just 5 mins away from the hotel which has a swimming pool. Hence Meg Lanning along with the Australian Physio and security went to the place and used the pool.

“A nice lady at the reception of our hotel said they had a pool at her parents’ house five minutes away from the hotel, so, me, physio Kate and security headed there, a random’s house, to use their pool on a Saturday night. I was very embarrassed, I really couldn’t believe it was actually happening, but they were really lovely and welcomed us, made it very easy so very thankful they let me use it,” Lanning revealed as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo.
