Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first
The UP Warriorz had a quiet start, with Kiran Navgire (17) and Deepti Sharma (13) failing to capitalize on their starts, leaving them at 61/3.
Tahlia McGrath (24) tried to stabilize the innings, adding a vital 20-run stand with Chinelle Henry before departing with 109 on the board.
Henry (62 off 26) then went berserk, scoring the the joint-fastest fifty in WPL history. Her 57-run partnership with Sophie Ecclestone (12) powered the Warriorz to 177.
Jess Jonassen led Delhi Capitals' bowling with 4/31, while Marizanne Kapp impressed with a tight spell of 2/18.
In reply, Shafali Verma (24) and Jemimah Rodrigues (56) kept them in the chase, especially the latter, amidst fall of wickets.
Niki Prasad (18) and Shikha Pandey (10) pushed the Capitals to 144, from being 7/111, but Grace Harris’ hat-trick wrapped up the innings.
Kranti Goud starred with 4/25, triggering the collapse, while Harris (4/15 off 2.3) capped it with the third WPL hat-trick, the second for Warriorz.
With this win, UP Warriorz have registered their first win of the season
