Gujarat Giants had the worst possible start, losing Beth Mooney (1), Laura Wolvaardt (4), and Dayalan Hemalatha (9) cheaply.
Ashleigh Gardner (10), Deandra Dottin (7), and Kashvee Gautam (20) got starts but failed to convert.
However, Harleen Deol 32(31), Tanuja Kanwar (13), and Sayali Satghare (13*) guided the Giants to a fighting total of 120.
Hayley Matthews led Mumbai’s bowling with returns of 3/16, while Amelia Kerr and Nat Sciver-Brunt picked two wickets each.
In reply, Hayley Matthews departed for a fine 17, while Yastika Bhatia (8) and Harmanpreet Kaur (4) fell cheaply.
Nat Sciver-Brunt (57) lead Mumbai’s charge with a 2nd consecutive fifty, supported by Amelia Kerr (19) and Sanjeevan Sajana (10*).
Youngsters Kashvee Gautam (2/15) and Priya Mishra (2/40) led the Giants' bowling, while Tanuja Kanwar chipped in with one.
