History was made at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 as Scotland and New Zealand met in their first-ever Women's T20I.

Scotland's Darcey Carter shared a 51-run stand alongside Katherine Fraser (7) before carrying on through the innings.

Carter finished unbeaten on 72* (52b, 8×4, 1×6), while Sarah Bryce added 25(22) to help Scotland reach 131/7 (20).

Amelia Kerr led New Zealand's attack with 3/17 (4), including a double-wicket maiden, while Sophie Devine struck twice in an over.

New Zealand's chase stumbled early as Kathryn Bryce reduced them to 20/2, before Sophie Devine departed for just 1.

Izzy Sharp (62 off 43) and Brooke Halliday led the recovery with a record 101-run partnership, taking New Zealand to 127/4.

Halliday (41*) guided New Zealand home in comfort, sealing a six-wicket win with 10 balls to spare.
