1^st Innings Summary – None except one batter of Melbourne Renegades could score more than 20 runs as the wickets kept falling on regular intervals. The team’s total could not even reach 100 run mark even after playing allotted 20 overs. Rene Farrell led the bowling attack of the opponents as she bowled beautifully taking three wickets and conceding just 17 runs in her allotted quota of four overs.

2^nd Innings Summary – Rachael Haynes and Rachel Priest opened for Sydney Thunder Women, but Priest could not do much as she became the first prey to Tayla Vlaemnick in the 4^th over. Haynes also got out on Vlaemnick’s ball after making a valuable contribution of 27 runs. Sydney Thunder reached the target in 17^th over and registered their first win. Defending a small total, Tayla Vlaemnick was the only successful bowler taking all the four wickets of the batting side.

Player of the match – Rene Farrell, becoming the first bowler to get the Player of the match award  in this year’s edition of the tournament.
