The Windies skipper had made her first cricket tour when she was 10. Interestingly, she was a decent football player, but it was the wish to travel around the world that made her look for 22 yards. She has shown her presence on the international stage since she was 17. She unleashed herself in 2008 against Ireland with a 49-ball 90. In 2013, she wrote history and became the first player to gain the top rank in batting and bowling at the same time. The same year she scored massive 171 runs against SriLanka. She had carried the hopes of Windies from younger times when she was the opener and collected 1000 runs as a 19-year old which again made way into record books.

When she took the baton of captaincy from Merissa, she led her team from the front and snatched a clean sweep from Pakistan. Her biggest achievement can surely be described as the West Indies lifting the t20 world cup in 2016. It was her tournament right from the start. She fought bravely against the mighty Aussies in the final and took the team and cup home. With highest runs and 8 wickets, she was selected as a player of the tournament. The fans of the West Indies will Taylor to work her magic again.
