The head of the selection panel, former Pakistan cricketer Urooj Mumtaz said, “We have rewarded the girls for their outstanding achievements against the Windies girls by maintaining consistency in the ODI squad and I am sure under the wings of the experienced girls, the youngsters will thrive and make optimum use of the increased opportunities”.

A solitary change has been made in ODI squad as uncapped spinner Rameen Shamim joins the national team while right-arm seamer Diana Baig has been ruled out due to a left-thumb injury. She has undergone surgery for the same and is on rest for at least ten weeks. Her absence would definitely hurt Pakistan’s camp as she had played a key role in team’s series win over West Indies in recently concluded ODI series. She took 4/34 and 3/42 in the second and third ODIs, both of which Pakistan won to claim the series 2-1.
