1st Innings Summary – Melbourne Stars’ batting innings was a display of poor bating and poor bowling as well. Although, Melbourne Stars started off well and did not lost any wicket in the first seven overs, but it was complete batting collapse after the dismissal of both the openers in quick succession. The bowling side also gave away fourteen extra runs, but Sophie Molineux and captain Amy Satterthwaite bowled well and shared five wickets among themselves to unsettle opponents.

2nd Innings Summary – A poor start by Melbourne Renegades as the scoreboard read 42-3 after the end of six overs. Then, the middle order trio of Amy Satterthwaite, Claire Koski and Courtney Webb came to the teams rescue and added some vital runs in the middle overs. But things turned around in 15th over once again as two wickets fell on two consecutive balls bringing Melbourne Stars back into the match. Although, Melbourne Renegades needed just three runs to win in the last over, with nine wickets down, both the teams had equal chances of winning the thriller. The batters holded on their nerves well and reached the target with one ball to spare.

Player of the matchAmy Satterthwaite for leading her team from front and giving all-round performance with bat and ball both. She took three wickets in three overs by conceding just 16 runs and then making 37 runs in 33 balls to take her team out of the batting crisis
