Ireland and West Indies produced a gripping contest in Match 27 of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

Ireland struck early and regularly, removing Hayley Matthews for 22 with West Indies at 50.

Deandra Dottin (21) and Stafanie Taylor (16) got starts, before Chinelle Henry's 27* off 21 lifted West Indies to 128/7 (20).

Aimee Maguire and Cara Murray starred with two wickets each in a disciplined Irish bowling display.

Ireland lost Gaby Lewis early, but Amy Hunter (28) and Orla Prendergast rebuilt the chase brilliantly.

Hunter fell at 88, while Prendergast's superb 63 off 44 (8×4, 2×6) all but sealed the contest.

Ireland chased it down by six wickets with 11 balls to spare, registering their first-ever Women's T20 World Cup win.
