Veda Krishnamurthy retired from professional cricket on July 25, 2025,  at age 32.

Her international career spanned 9 years, featuring 48 ODIs and 76  T20Is for India.

She debuted in ODIs in 2011  vs England, scoring a half-century.

Her last international game was  the 2020 T20 World Cup final  vs Australia.

She scored 829 ODI runs, 875 T20I  runs, and took 3 ODI wickets.

She was part of India's runner-up  teams in the 2017 ODI and  2020 T20 World Cups.

Her last professional match was for Gujarat Giants in the 2024 Women's Premier League (WPL).

She will be remembered as a match-winner, one of India's best fielders,  and a respected domestic captain.
